Did you reprogram, or did you buy a new hard drive? If you still have the files from the old OS you can just move the SWTOR folder over. Run the launcher and cancel it, move the old files in, run the launcher again and BAM. Fully patched game client installed.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic

What happens is the launcher creates the folder system first thing after it starts. You cancel it right away and move the files from the folder above into the newly created folder. Then run the launcher again. It does not matter if the original install was 32 bit. The launcher will fix it.

This is a nifty trick for anyone with multiple PC's, that wants to reprogram, or simply wants a backup on an external drive.

As for your RAM, post up here if the replacement does not work. Make Model Motherboaard & Make Model RAM. Ill be happy to help you work out the kinks.

I installed a brand new solid state drive, new Win7 64b O/S, and then SWTOR. The disks failed to install, the DL failed to install. I then took my HD out of my old computer, put it in the new one, DL the drivers for the new MB etc, tried to launch SWTOR and the launcher failed to install the latest patch. So the problem seems to relate to the installer not liking something w my hardware. The RAM is the only part of my PC that isn't matched (a friend game some). I'll know this week if my hunch is correct.

Hope to be back online by this weekend.
